Learn more about us below! Interested in joining the Hive? Find out more about our membership commitments here. Co-Founder, Former President Liaison to the Hospital, School Outreach Taylor Germain "My professional background is in teaching and behavior analysis, specifically working within the Autism community. I have always felt inspired by not only the kids with whom I have worked but the opportunity I had to work for Nationwide Children's Hospital at their Autism Center. When I left to stay home with my children, I longed for a way to give back to the hospital and community with whom I had worked so closely. We are so fortunate to have Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Behavioral Health Pavilion here in Columbus serving our children when they need its services. With the emergent pediatric mental health crisis, now is the time for our community to come together and support this incredible hospital and the many programs they have developed to combat this crisis." Taylor@thebeehivealliance.com Co-Founder, Former President Brad Sheely "Having 3 young children and seeing the range of emotions they go through on a daily basis really got me paying closer attention to pediatric mental health. When I saw the work that was being done by On Our Sleeves in 2018 it resonated with me, so I sent an email inquiring on how to get involved. A few weeks later I was connected with Taylor, as she shared a similar passion and desire to get involved, and the idea of The Beehive Alliance was born. I love the small, but mighty, group we have formed and the positive impact we are having on pediatric behavioral health in our local community!" Membership@thebeehivealliance.com President Megan Hall "As a former preschool aid and teacher who worked directly with students with behavioral health needs, I saw firsthand what a deep support system can do for not only the child but for the parents. Creating environments for children and families to get the resources they need, surrounded by unwavering support and reduced stigmas, can change the trajectory of a child's life. Beehive Alliance supports and funds easy access to these life-changing resources and I am so proud to be a part of this movement!" Meg@thebeehivealliance.com Vice President Kylie Bentine "As a mother of two young kids, both born during a global pandemic, my curiosity of mental health impacts on children continued to rise. My sister is also a pediatric psych nurse and one of my personal role models for the impact she makes in her field. I want to be part of a movement that changes stigmas around mental health and works to provide resources to children and families in need. The Beehive Alliance helps fulfill me in more ways than I knew possible & I'm so excited for the bright future ahead." Kylie@thebeehivealliance.com Finance Chair Sara Robertson "Pediatric mental health has never been more important, and it is never too early to start. I’ve seen firsthand the impact early intervention had on our son, and it has made me passionate about the importance of helping all children reach their full potential via access to resources and treatment. I love being part of the buzz in a hive of amazing volunteers who share my passion for helping children develop self-confidence, raise self-esteem and create a healthy emotional outlook." Finance@thebeehivealliance.com A Night In the Hive Chair Megan D'Ambrosio "As an education consultant and former elementary teacher, I’ve seen firsthand the growing mental health needs of children nationwide. I’ve been a proud part of the Beehive Alliance since 2022, and it has become one of the most purposeful roles I hold. Now, as a parent of three young children, this work feels deeply personal. The Beehive Alliance’s mission to create a “buzz” around pediatric mental and behavioral health resonates strongly with me. In our home, we talk openly about feelings—even with our youngest—using the resources I’ve gained through this community. I’m grateful to be part of an organization committed to breaking stigmas and helping children and families thrive." A Night In the Hive Co-Chair Alex Crock "I first got involved with the Beehive in 2021 and was instantly drawn to its grassroots, community-driven approach and the amazing, like-minded individuals who make up the hive. Becoming a new mom has made me even more passionate about pediatric mental health, and it’s inspiring to see emotional well-being finally getting the same attention as physical health, even at a young age. I’m so grateful to have been part of Beehive’s growth over the past five years and for all the meaningful experiences along the way, and I’m excited for everything still to come!" Membership Co-Chair Amy Barger "Beehive Alliance was the exact thing I’ve been waiting to be involved with. As a former elementary educator, I had watched our young students show up with increasing levels of anxiety that was leaving them uncertain and lacking confidence. It was time for mental health to come to the forefront of children’s overall health. Last year I loved watching my three children share my passion through the Lemonade Stand. They helped raise nearly $400 for our mission." Membership@thebeehivealliance.com A Night In the Hive Co-chair Taylor Darkoch "I was introduced to the Beehive Alliance through a friend and I was eager to find a way to get involved after hearing their mission. The Beehive Alliance combines two things I care deeply about - mental health & children. Over the past few years it's become clear how important mental health & wellness are for everyone. I'm excited to join a group that is not only about raising awareness but also funding to give children & families the support they need. I can't wait to see the impact this organization continues to have on the community, both in Columbus and beyond!" Membership Co-Chair Sara Roby "As a mom of two toddlers, I found myself digging for resources to help lay a healthy foundation for their mental health. On Our Sleeves has provided me with such wonderful resources and through that search I found The Beehive Alliance. I am passionate about the work The Beehive Alliance is doing to help build a world where all children and families have access to the resources they need to live a happy and mentally healthy life!" Membership@thebeehivealliance.com Communications Chair Britney Bohling "As a middle school teacher, I have seen a range of pediatric mental health issues, and know the importance of bringing awareness to it, as well as making resources for children and families readily available. When I became a mom I knew I needed to get more involved with pediatric mental health, and The Beehive Alliance is just what I was looking for! I am excited to be part of a group that is working to end the stigma of mental health and actively helping the children and families in our community!" Communications@thebeehivealliance.com Party In the Patch Co-Chair Kateri Salavitabar "Before starting a family I worked as a registered nurse in pediatric intensive care. During my years in that environment I saw first hand how fragile but also profoundly resilient children’s bodies and minds are. So much of helping a child recover and thrive after illness or injury is providing tools and support for their emotional needs. Now, as a mother of 3, surrounded by healthier kids, I see how universal that need is and how crucial it is for parents to have access to resources and support to ensure that children are supported as they learn to navigate the world. It is so important to me that my children and those in our community experience the normalization of prioritizing their mental health, without stigma! I am thrilled to have found the Beehive Alliance and joined in creating a buzz around pediatric mental health. " Party in the Patch Co-Chair Corey Nunney " As a mom of three and a yoga instructor, Beehie Alliance combines two things I feel passionate about: mental health wellness and children. One of my favorite things about the organization is that it provides a platform for my kids to get involved in tangible opportunities to create awareness around important mental health topics. I'm excited to be a part of the Beehive Alliance movement, to support families to get the support that they need to positively impact lives!" Web Development, Mental Health Fair Chair Former President Katie Hesketh "As a former 4th grade teacher, I watched students struggle with anxiety and other behavioral and mental health challenges. Not only was it difficult at times to find the resources these children and their families needed, but the stigma often prevented them from seeking help. After losing a former student, I realized that mental health challenges don't discriminate - even the outwardly happiest children from the most loving families need support. Now as a mother of 4, pediatric mental health feels even more personal. My children and my former students are the fuel behind everything I do for the Beehive." Katie@thebeehivealliance.com Lemonade Co-Chair Catie Meige " I am an RN with a passion for helping the young and old! I spent a few years working on a Neurology floor for adults and spend a lot of time focusing on mental healht. When I became a mom, I realized how scares mental health resources were for children and adults alike. I joined the Beehive in 2024 and have loved being a part of a community so dedicated to children's mental health. I am so excited to see what this next year brings for the Beehive!" Lemonade Co-Chair Charlotte Larger " As a registered nurse with a specialty in trauma, I saw the impact mental health can have on people and their families firsthand. It was evident to me the importance of having mental health resources available in our community, including the pediatric population. With two children of my own, creating a safe and healthy environment for them to grow up in is a priority of mine. I am so excited to join the Beehive Alliance and their effort to raise awareness in pediatric mental health and increase access to community resources." Marketing Co-Chair Audrey Hopkins "As a new mom to our son, I’ve become even more passionate about the role pediatric mental health plays in shaping children and families. Having witnessed firsthand the impact that mental health can have on kids and their loved ones, my husband and I have been involved with the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Development Board and also support LifeAct in Northeast Ohio, which has strengthened our dedication to expanding resources and education for parents and caregivers. I joined The Beehive Alliance to connect with others who share this passion and to help drive meaningful change in our community." Content Creator @beehivealliance Maudie Tanner "I’m proud to be part of an organization dedicated to pediatric mental health. I joined because I believe it’s essential for children to be exposed to mental health education early and to have access to the support they need to thrive. As a parent of two young children, this cause is especially important to me, and I want to be an advocate not only for them but for all kids. I’ve been incredibly impressed by everything this organization has already accomplished, and I’m excited about how much more we can do together to reduce stigma and create a future where children feel seen, supported, and empowered." Design and Materials Lead Natasha Hacker "For over eight years, I worked in pediatric research and clinical care at Nationwide Children's Hospital, where I developed a deep understanding of how essential mental health support is to a child's development. I've learned that kids thrive when the adults around them include caregivers, teachers, and advocates who have the awareness, empathy, and practical resources to support them with confidence. I'm excited to be a part of the Beehive Alliance, inspired by the belief that through collaboration and education, we can create a future where mental wellness is a priority in every space where a child grows." Development Co-Chair Jody Devilbis "As an adult, managing our mental health is hard enough. Considering the lack of resources and support that currently exists to help children (and their families) navigate this difficult and evolving road, I'm thrilled to learn that more are now working to change that. I have been searching for an organization to get involved with, and having recently started a family of my own, I began to attend some of these events. I have been thoroughly impressed with the dedication and fresh perspective to volunteerism that the Beehive Team brings to the table, all I've learned about the partnership with NCH, and each of the events themselves. I am eager to dive in with this group of fantastic people and represent such a worthwhile cause across our community, and beyond." Development Co-Chair Allison Deathridge As a psychologist and trauma therapist, I have witnessed the impact of childhood trauma on long-term functioning and have often wondered about the trajectory of my patients' lives had earlier access to mental health treatment been available. It is truly heartbreaking to know individuals have struggled with mental health conditions that could have been treated decades before. I was inspired by the Beehive Alliance and became involved due to wanting to help in their mission to normalize mental health treatment as well as improve treatment access for children in our community. Early intervention is key and, as a mom to four, I want to help set up the next generation for better emotional health and well-being.
