In 2022, pediatric mental health is more important than ever. Studies show that 50% of all lifetime mental illnesses start by age 14 and suicide is the second leading cause of death for adolescent ages 10-24. The American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Children’s Hospital Association have declared a National State of Emergency in Children’s Mental Health. The pandemic has only intensified this crisis. Across the country there have been dramatic increases in Emergency Department visits for all mental health emergencies including suspected suicide attempts. Our goal is to make sure families have the support they need to identify and address these issues early on. Join us at our first adult-only event and together we can make a life-saving difference for children across the nation.
