The Beehive Alliance Partners presents our annual free back-to-school Bee Kind Back-To-School Kick Off mental health fair in Columbus Ohio. FREE: BEE Kind to Yourself: Mental Health Fair Created in 2021 as a response to increasing back-to-school anxiety, we are excited for our 5th annual FREE mental wellness fair! Get ready for a fun and meaningful day where children will build their very own mental health toolbox filled with helpful tools and strategies they can use all school year long! Kids will explore hands-on activities, learn ways to take care of their minds and hearts, and discover how being kind to themselves can help them spread kindness to others. Meanwhile, caregivers can connect with community experts and gather resources to support their children's mental wellness. Join us as we kick off the school year feeling strong, supported, and ready to thrive! This fun & engaging event will include activities like yoga, kindness kits to be donated through Student Success stores, affirmation pictures, kindness rocks, a take-home plant, information and resources from partners, and more! Children will create a toolkit of mental health strategies that can be used all year, and caregivers will have the opportunity to get resources from our community partners. 22 days to the event Party In the Patch: Squashing Stigmas Together Thu, Oct 08 RSVP Details Where: Upper Arlington Community Center: 5th Floor When: March 1st: 1-3 pm . The event ends at 3, so please plan enough time to work through the 8 stations. Details : This is a FREE event for children 4-12. School-aged children complete fun activities to create a back-to-school mental wellness toolkit to use all year. Caregivers will have an opportunity to chat with community partners and experts. The CMAF Youth Advisory Council (Youth Council) is an organization that educates youth on the processes surrounding youth health and wellness-related philanthropy and grantmaking. It is comprised entirely of students, ages 13 to 18, and is an integral part of our organization. This year's Kindness Kits are sponsored by Abercrombie and Fitch & Co. In addition to supporting the event, they generously donated 250 backpacks to be used at our Abercrombie and Fitch Co. Kindness Kit Station. The 250 backpacks they donated will be stuffed with mental health tools, school supplies, hygiene items, and cheer cards and will be distributed by Student Success Stores. A

Now, more than ever, we feel the need to make an impact in our community by working to reduce that stigma felt by so many to seek treatment as well as encourage families to prioritize their child’s mental health as much as they would their physical health. The Beehive Alliance is a non-profit organization started in 2019 that is dedicated to creating a buzz around pediatric mental and behavioral health issues. We are committed to providing the resources necessary to families in our local community burdened by these issues, so that no child is denied access to treatments that change lives. What do your donations fund? We're proud to be a 100% volunteer-powered organization. This means that every single dollar donated goes directly to kids' mental health initiatives. We support the life-saving work of Nationwide Children's Behavioral Health Pavilion and its national Kids' Mental Health Foundation. Preventative Resources We proudly work with NWCH and KMHF to fund preventative resources and programs. So far, we've funded: The Day Foundations' collaboration with KMHF to provide mental health GoNoodle's Mooderator season 3 - which provides videos to classrooms and homes across the country. Safe Mind App - a keystroke app that monitors phones for concerning searches and alerts parents. Hundreds of classroom mental wellness resource kits Clinical research programs that help catch concerns during annual wellness appointments. Crisis Assistance Sometimes prevention isn't enough. We also fund resources that support families in crisis. These programs include: A clinical training program that aims to cut down the gap between the need and available clinicians. A mobile resource unit that meets children in crisis where they are to provide triage and care. Programs that provide tools and bonding experiences to families currently in crisis. Awareness At The Beehive Alliance, donations do more than fund programs. They build buzz. When families and businesses rally around this grassroots movement, it sends a clear message that children’s mental health matters and stigma can be stopped from the ground up. Your support helps us create a buzz of awareness, hope, and change throughout our community and beyond.

Join The Hive When you join the Beehive Alliance, you’re helping fund programs, spark conversations, and break stigmas surrounding children’s mental health. We’d love to connect with individuals who feel aligned with our mission and are excited to be part of a passionate, community-driven organization! What are our member commitments? We recognize members balance family, careers, and other commitments. We ask for thoughtful communication and good-faith effort when conflicts arise. Time Attend each of the six full-group meetings. Participate in one of our subcommittees. Participate in our two major events: A Night in the Hive & Party in the Path—by attending or volunteering Attend optional social events! Financial Membership dues: $250 annually Informal goal: Raise $500 through ticket sales, donations, sponsors, and fundraisers. Participation Participate in our two major events: A Night in the Hive & Party in the Patch Volunteer at our Free mental health fair if available. Host a virtual or in-person lemonade stand in May, or fill one of our official Beehive stand slots. Passion Members share a genuine passion for children’s mental health. This includes a desire to learn, to speak openly about mental wellness, and to help break stigmas through compassion, advocacy, and community engagement. Interested in joining?
